The basic idea is simple, cutting tools quickly during the grinding process,

easy and precise to measure.

At the beginning of the sixties, this task was faced by tool manufacturers in the fields of milling, drilling and tapping.

In order to optimally measure the specially manufactured tools, so-called workshop measuring devices were developed for their own use. The global demand for such measuring devices was quickly recognized.

The sale and demand of these cutting angle gauges developed rapidly, in addition to the core business of cutting tools. In the early 1990s, the market for the manufacture of precision tools was reorganized and adjusted in many areas.

This was the occasion for the company MEGATOOL - milling and tool measuring technology from the once manufactured workshop measuring equipment to re-found their core business. Terms such as rhyme regrinding angle measuring device or Strasmann cutting angle measuring device OptiCut are still firm names in the machining world of well-known tool manufacturers.

Megatool has standardized and constantly modified these devices. With regard to the constantly optimized production processes, in practice a wide variety of proven and tested precision devices are of great importance and today still form a constant in tool measurement, in particular for the measurement of the rake angle.

Today, Megatool offers measuring systems for tool measurement, with a focus on rake angles.

The service spectrum ranges from a simple dial gauge push-button to the high-resolution USB camera including software for tool measurement.

In addition, there is a repair service for all former rhyme regrinding angle, Strasmann cutting angle and Wego cutting angle gauges. The service offer also includes annual maintenance and calibration directly at the customer. In addition, Megatool focuses on the measurement of circular saw blades.

All measuring systems are based on a modular principle, individually tailored to the needs of the customer.
